Title: Vigilance

This is a most unique and stunning work of art. This is a 3D wall sculpture of the face of Jesus Christ titled Vigilance. It is made of a marble like material called Incolay (see below). Each piece is handcrafted. This striking face is an antique exclusive reproduction of an original carving made back in the late 1800’s by the artist Gellert. You can see his fine detailed craftsmanship, especially when you look at how he molded the eyes. They have such depth that they almost seem to be starring right at you. All the facial muscles are also so finely detailed that it really seems to bring the face of Jesus to life. It brings the chills to many who see it closely (unfortunately these pictures cannot do true justice ... but we tried).

The overall size is 10½” x 14” (inches) and weighs just over 3 pounds. So it is a solid piece of fine art. There is a solid mounted hanger in the back so you can hang it easily on the wall. Since this is handcrafted, you can be assured there is not another identical piece to this one. Please disregard the watermarks we added with the our initials CFA (Catholic Fine Art). Obviously these letters do not appear on the piece.

About Incolay Incolay is a complex combination of minerals such as Quartz, Sardonyx, Carnelian, Onyx and Banded agate, all combined to produce an elegant hard stone. The stratification that results, produces the same variegated formations and beauty found in natural stone, giving a marble like effect.
