The Image This print is titled His Madonna. The artist is Toby Rosenthal and was originally painted in 1912. Here is a lovely image of a young boy carving a wood statue of Our Blessed Mother Mary. Notice as he is concentrating on his work, the statue almost seems to come to life as the arms of Mary extend over him. Some say this boy represents Jesus, perfecting his mother.
